Objective To select suitable medical paper plastic packaging bags to replace medical diagnosis and treatment bags made of cotton cloth. Prolong the storage time of aseptic package and reduce the cost.

Methods The paper plastic packaging materials for medical diagnosis and treatment bags were used to study the sterilization effect and clinical application effect.

Packaging, three-dimensional paper plastic packaging shall be selected for those with a packaging height of more than 3cm. At the same time, pay attention to the reasonable placement of the instrument pack, and try to reduce the weight, which should not exceed 1.3 kg. The paper plastic aseptic bag has a significantly better storage time than the cotton bag, and the number of re elimination is significantly reduced. It is convenient for clinical evaluation and management.

Conclusion Paper plastic packaging is effective and feasible for medical diagnosis and treatment kits. It can be used to package diagnosis and treatment kits containing more instruments, such as tracheotomy kits, which extends the service life of infrequent emergency diagnosis and treatment instruments and improves the quality. At the same time, it improves the work efficiency and management cost, which is worth popularizing.

Conventional medical paper plastic packaging bags are often used for the packaging of light medical items such as gauze and single instrument. In clinical work, in order to ensure timely rescue of patients, it is necessary to have some first-aid sterile diagnosis and treatment kits. Some diagnosis and treatment kits, such as tracheotomy kits, are relatively more than other instruments, and are often packaged with plain cotton cloth or crepe paper. Due to less use, the storage period of traditional plain cotton cloth packaging is short 7~14 days, and the repeated disinfection consumes much. In order to reduce the consumption, the paper plastic packaging with long validity period and the best biological barrier has been explored since January 2009. After half a year of the trial, the paper plastic packaging has been comprehensively used for commonly used clinical emergency kits. After more than three years of clinical use, the results are satisfactory. The report is as follows.

1 Materials and methods

1.1 Materials and equipment FUHAO high pressure steam/ethylene oxide dual-use paper plastic packaging bags of various specifications, 3M multi-function film sealing machine, SHINVA XHPC-6.00 pre vacuum pressure steam sterilizer.

1.2 Methods

1.2.1 Packaging method According to the clinical requirements for the diagnosis and treatment package, take the correct packaging method, sort out the recycled instruments, blades, dressings and other articles that have been treated according to the specifications, put them into the chemical indicator card, and use disposable non-woven treatment towels (50 cm × 70 cm), and then put it into a suitable paper plastic packaging bag. The optimal temperature of the sealing machine is 195~198 ℃.

1.2.2 Test method The medical kit shall be sterilized according to the professional specifications and regulations of the disinfection supply room and the requirements of zero risk management. At the beginning of the test, 100 sterilized paper plastic diagnostic and treatment bags of 5 varieties were continuously tested, 10 bags for each type. Among them, there are 30 60 g/m2 flat paper plastic packages and 20 three-dimensional medical kits; 70 g/m2 flat paper plastic packaging 30 diagnosis and treatment bags, three-dimensional packaging 20 diagnosis and treatment bags, find out the reasons, and gain experience. Take samples from 2 bags randomly every month, and conduct sterility test for 6 consecutive months after there is no bacterial growth in the first aid kit.

2 Results

2.1 Paper plastic packaging materials shall be correctly selected. Paper plastic packaging bags are made of transparent plastic film composed of multi-layer plastic film and 60g/m2 or 70g/m2 medical paper by heat sealing. Due to the relative weight and volume of the diagnosis and treatment instrument package, the paper plastic package of 60 g/m2 in the test is easy to break during the vacuum pumping phase, and all the tracheotomy packages with larger and heavier volumes are broken, and some of the breaks are not at the seal. In the control group, only one paper plastic package with a capacity of 70 g/m2 was broken, indicating that 70 g/m2 paper plastic packaging bags should be used for paper plastic packaging with a capacity of 60 g/m2 less than 70 g/m2; When the packaging height is less than 3 cm, the instrument package can choose the plane packaging. When the packaging height is more than 3 cm, the three-dimensional paper plastic packaging can be selected. The weight is within 1.3 kg.

2.2 The advantage of using non-woven treatment towel to replace the fixed packaging of cotton treatment towel prevents the instrument from rolling or piercing the paper plastic packaging; The height and weight of the bag are reduced; The utility model is convenient for clinical use and the formation of a sterile area.

2.3 Regular sampling results showed that the preservation time of paper plastic aseptic bag without bacterial growth was significantly better than that of cotton cloth bag, and the number of re elimination was significantly reduced. The clinical evaluation was easy to use and manage.

2.4 It indirectly reduces the consumption of manpower and material resources, and also reduces the indirect cost of medical care. The supply room has obvious cost advantages over cotton packaging materials in using paper plastic and disposable non-woven packaging materials.

3 Discussion

The paper plastic packaging has a good and feasible effect on conventional first-aid kits, which extends the service life of uncommon diagnostic and therapeutic instruments, improves the work efficiency and reduces the management cost, and is worth promoting.
